National Feral Cat Day gains momentum with Alley Cat Allies

Posted by SusanStokes on September 3, 2013

Alley Cat Allies recently announced they are gearing up for what they hope will be the best National Feral Cat Day® ever.  Help them reach their goal by making your preparations now to celebrate feral cats on October 16, 2013.

Alley Cat Allies have made it easy to get started.  A special website has been set up just for National Feral Cat day The site is loaded with lots of helpful information on how to get started, tips for planning your event, and ways to promote it.

Some of the things they suggest you can do that day are perform Trap-Neuter-Return, hold a fundraiser, educate your neighbors about feral cats and TNR, or help your local shelter implement positive changes to make life better for feral cats they might house.

Alley Cat Allies invites participants to call their office at 855-340-CATS to speak with an Alley Cat Allies staff member who can answer your questions and offer assistance.

They also invite event organizers to register the event online at the feral cat website. Once registered, expect to receive their Guide for Community Change event start-up kit and T-shirt.

Alley Cat Allies is located at 7920 Norfolk Avenue #600, Bethesda, MD 20814.  Alley Cat Allies was the first organization to introduce and advocate for humane methods of feral cat care, particularly Trap-Neuter-Return, in the American animal protection community.

Hope this goes some way in helping those who might need some guidance on how to proceed.
